A security hole found by Matthew T allows any person the view the photos of any myspace profile, even if it is on private.
All you have to do is type in the url below, then replace the x’s with the friend id of the profile you want to view.
http://www.myspace.com/services/media/photosXML.ashx?friendid=xxxxxxxx
Then, copy the file url and paste it into a new window.
Here is a bookmarklet to simplify the process, just drag the link below to your bookmark toolbar.

Don’t you just hate it when someone hides their comments on myspace? Well the truth is that there is no real way to hide your comments. Just because you stick a div over them doesn’t mean you cant just view them. Its very easy to view them and this is how its done.
First go to the persons profile that you want to view the comments of. Now we need to get the person’s friendid. If you look in the address bar, you should see the friendid in the url.

Copy that down.
Now go back to your home page, then go to the view comments page.
In the address bar you should see where it says friendid again. Replace your friendid with the one you copied down.

Then hit enter. The page should refresh, then you should be viewing the comments of your friend.
So if you have confident information in your comments, and you think that your safe just because you hid them, think again.
Happy Hacking,

I wrote this little webpage that gives you the capability to allow a user to preview a myspace layout before they use it.
Its very simple to use too.
All you do it goto the previewpage.
Paste in your code…

and hit preview.
The page should reload showing you what the profile would look like.

Now just copy the url, or copy the link below the preview button, and that will link to this preview page with the profile you made.

Tell me what you think,

The other day I was on my myspace and as I was hovering over a link I just added I saw this.

What in the world is msplinks?
Well I did some research and found that it is a technique used by myspace to stop spammers.
When they find a spammer or phisher, they put a stop on the address at msplinks, and since all the links on myspace go through msplinks, anybody that clicks on that link will be redirected.
This sounds like a good thing right?
News Corp is a “Global vertically integrated media company“, and is also the current owner of myspace.
To me this sounds like a perfect opportunity to get stats on the most popular websites, which might be beneficial to a news company.
Plus, I think I should be able to decide what websites I view.
Thats why I wrote this firefox plugin.
This plugin will convert all msplinks back into the original link.

Please install and spread the word.

note:I dont really believe any of that, I just want a reason for this plugin.
